About Me

My name is Mason Medeiros, and I’m a digital artist with a lifelong connection to creativity. My story with art began the way it does for many artists, pencil and paper in elementary school, filling notebooks with characters, creatures, and ideas. Drawing came naturally to me, but in high school another passion took the lead: music.

Under the guidance of an incredible music teacher, I shifted my focus and trained for a spot in the jazz program at Mohawk College. I was accepted, studied music intensively, and spent years following that path before stepping into a different career. During that time, art faded completely out of my life.

Even so, the urge to create never fully disappeared. Over the years I found myself returning to illustration in small bursts, experimenting, learning new tools, and rediscovering the enjoyment of visual storytelling. Friends and family encouraged me long before I believed in my own potential, and that support kept me going.

Everything changed when I was hired for my first real commissions and branding projects. That experience reignited something in me, a sense of purpose, and I realized art wasn’t just a hobby. It was something I needed to take seriously. From that point forward, I committed to improving with consistency, exploring new styles, and developing my voice as an illustrator.

Today, art is both my obsession and my craft. I create highly detailed digital illustrations inspired by fantasy, cosmic horror, dramatic lighting, and the visual language of the games, films, and music that shaped me. I’m dedicated to sharing the knowledge I’ve gained, supporting the creative community, and offering illustration and concept design services for individuals, businesses, and anyone looking for thoughtful, expressive artwork.

This is the beginning of the journey I’m building—one driven by creativity, curiosity, and the belief that it’s never too late to return to what you love.

Here’s what I focus on today as a working illustrator:

• Digital illustration

• Character art & visual development

• Commissioned artwork for individuals & brands
